
Halloumi Burger with Onion Rings
Ingredients:
- 1 BakerVille sesame burger bun
- 1 slice halloumi cheese (about 100g)
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 slice tomato
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- Onion rings:
- 1 large onion
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup milk (plant-based milk can be used)
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Preparation method:

Cut the bun in half and warm it up. Fry the halloumi slice over a medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.

Onion rings:Cut the onion into thick slices and separate the rings. Mix the flour, paprika, salt and pepper in one bowl. Pour the milk into a second bowl, and place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl. Coat each onion ring first with flour, then dip in milk and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Deep fry in oil until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun. Add the lettuce leaf, halloumi slice, tomato slice and a few onion rings. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the bun. Cover with the top half of the bun. -
Serving:Serve immediately after preparation to enjoy the full flavour and freshness. The halloumi burger with onion rings is an excellent choice for a hearty and delicious meal.

Additional tips:You can add avocado slices for extra creaminess. For enhanced flavour, try adding a few drops of your favourite hot sauce.
