Vegan Chickpea and Sweet Potato Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 BakerVille Rustic Style burger bun
- 100g cooked chickpeas
- 1 small sweet potato (about 150g)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp oat flour
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 slice tomato
- 1 slice pickled cucumber
- 1 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
Preparation method:
-
Peel the sweet potato, cut it into cubes and cook until soft, then mash it into a puree. Mix the sweet potato puree with the chickpeas, onion, garlic, oat flour, cumin and smoked paprika in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into a patty and fry in olive oil over a medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, until the patty is golden and crispy.
Cut the bun in half and warm it up in the oven or on a grill. Spread vegan mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun. Layer with a lettuce leaf, the chickpea and sweet potato patty, a slice of tomato and a slice of pickled cucumber. -
Serving:Serve immediately after preparation to enjoy the freshness and full flavour. The vegan chickpea and sweet potato burger is a fantastic alternative to traditional meat burgers.

Additional tips:You can add avocado slices for extra creaminess. For enhanced flavour, try adding a few drops of your favourite vegan BBQ sauce.
